Mission

The mission of the San Andreas State Police is to protect life and property, maintain order, and ensure safety across all state highways and local communities.

We are committed to providing professional, fair, and reliable law enforcement through active patrols, responsive backup, and community-focused policing. Our goal is to keep the streets of San Andreas safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Requirements

To join the San Andreas State Police, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Age Limit: Be at least 15 years of age.
  • Communication: Possess a working microphone and be able to communicate clearly in English.
  • Attitude: Have a mature, professional attitude and demonstrate good roleplay standards.
  • Server Standing: Maintain no active bans or serious disciplinary history within the community.
  • Training: Be willing to complete the SASP Academy and probationary training.
  • Activity: Be able to attend scheduled trainings, patrols, and community events.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a team and show respect toward fellow members and the public.
  • Interest: Have a genuine interest in law enforcement, public safety, and community policing.

Ranks

  1. 1
    Commissioner
    Runs the department. Has the final say on rosters, rules, and who gets banned or kicked.
  2. 2
    Deputy Commissioner
    Second-in-command. Runs things when the Commissioner is offline and helps manage the paperwork.
  3. 3
    Assistant Commissioner
    Works with the Commissioner and Deputy to run the department and keep everyone in line with the rules.
  4. 4
    Chief
    Helps organize overall operations and assists with state-wide member management.
  5. 5
    Deputy Chief
    Assists the administration with daily tasks and keeps track of department roster activity.
  6. 6
    Captain
    Manages the roster, checks member activity to kick inactive players, and handles member issues.
  7. 7
    Lieutenant
    Runs active patrol shifts, organizes units when people log on, and takes charge when a big scene pops off.
  8. 8
    Master Sergeant
    An experienced supervisor who helps the Lieutenants run shifts during busy hours.

    Staff Sergeant
    Active supervisor on the streets. Handles supervisor requests and helps guide newer Sergeants.

    Sergeant
    Field supervisor on patrol. Answers supervisor calls and makes sure troopers aren't messing around.

    Senior Corporal
    Supervisor in Training. Assists on major scenes and is learning how to run active shifts.

    Corporal
    An entry-level Supervisor in Training. Helps guide newer troopers and starts learning basic supervisor duties.

    Chief Master Trooper
    A veteran trooper who has been in the department for a long time and knows how to run smooth patrols.

    Master Trooper
    A highly experienced trooper trusted to handle complex calls and provide solid backup.
  15. 15
    Senior Trooper
    An experienced trooper certified as an FTO (Field Training Officer) to train new guys.

    Trooper First Class
    A seasoned trooper who rides solo and knows the rules inside and out.

    Trooper
    Your standard state trooper. Cleared to ride solo, knows how to roleplay properly, and handles everyday highway calls.

    Probationary Trooper
    Fresh out of the academy. Rides along with an FTO to get trained before going solo.

    Recruit
    A brand new hire still going through academy training. No patrol cars, no weapons, and no solo patrols yet.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does it take for my application to get reviewed?

Applications are usually checked within 24 to 48 hours. Keep an eye on the Discord for a ping or DM from the training staff.

  • What happens if my application is denied?

If you get denied, we’ll let you know why. You're usually welcome to fix the issues and try again after a couple of days.

  • Can I still join if I have a criminal record in-character?

Minor traffic offenses or older charges are fine. Just be honest about it on your application.

  • Do I have to buy my own police car or gear?

No, everything you need for patrol is provided in the server's armory and garage based on your rank.

  • Where is the SASP based?

While we patrol state highways and cover county areas, we operate out of designated state patrol stations across San Andreas.
